On Monday night Manchester based band Cassia brought their “Loosen up” tour to Berlin. The band embarked on their first ever European headline tour and Berlin was their 5th stop, after playing four other German cities. Even though they’ve been followed by bad luck, as their tires broke down on their way from Dortmund to Berlin, the band seemed super excited to be playing a sold out show at Musik & Frieden in Berlin.
Cassia opened up with their first single, “Moana”, and already got the crowd moving. A new song titled “Small Places”, stuck with you due to the prominent rhythmic drums in the verses and was well received by the crowd while “Weekender” had the fans sing back the catchy line “did you go out at the weekend”. Fan favourite “100 times over” was introduced as the last song, but luckily the band came back for another tune, the vibey “Paradise Beach”, bringing the encore to an end with a bang.
Cassia’s sunshine tunes let us forget about the rainy cold weather that has been introducing fall for the last couple of days and brought back summer to freezing Berlin for a little while.
The tour continues until November 3rd, including shows in London and Manchester, so catch them while you can!
